American Symphony Film Screening

American Symphony Film Screening

‌Join Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at Coolidge Corner Theater in Brookline for a free screening of American Symphony, a documentary film that follows Grammy Award–winning musician Jon Batiste and his wife, New York Times best-selling author Suleika Jaouad, as Jon composes a symphony and Suleika faces a leukemia recurrence and undergoes a second bone marrow transplant. Before the film, hear from American Symphony’s award-winning producer, Nina Fialkow, and Dana-Farber’s Robert Soiffer, MD, who will discuss the importance of expanding access to life-saving blood stem cell and bone marrow transplants, particularly for patients of color. Guests will also have the opportunity to learn more about Jon and Suleika’s Become a Lifesaver Campaign.
